Martin Cornell, who has passed away aged 72, was one of the most prominent beer writers of his generation. He was a founding member of the British Guild of Beer Writers and a winner of their Beer Writer of the Year award. He regularly contributed to CAMRA’s What’s Brewing columns, its Learn & Discover website and BEER magazine. His death came just as his final book, Porter and Stout: A Complete History, was about to be published.
