Tribute – William (Bill) Feaver

We are saddened to share the news that Bill passed away on 21 March, aged 71, after a number of months in hospital.  Bill joined CAMRA in 2006 after attending a new members’ evening at the Grand Union Brewery.  He quickly became a familiar face at West Middlesex branch and festival meetings.  Over the years he made a significant contribution to the Ealing Beer Festival, eventually taking on the role of bar manager.  His great sense of humour and warm presence made him a favourite among volunteers.  He lent his support equally to other festivals, including the Great British Beer Festival, Twickenham and Kingston.  Bill was also a dedicated London Drinker distributor.

Until retirement he worked at the Wimbledon Area Signalling Centre alongside several fellow CAMRA members including Alex Langford and the late Clive Taylor.  He was a cherished regular at the White Hart in Harlington where he recently organised West Middlesex branch’s 50th anniversary celebration and brought joy to children each year as Father Christmas.  A lifelong Brentford supporter, railway and aviation enthusiast, Bill will be deeply missed by so many.
