Return to the railway

From Friday 25 to Sunday 27 July, cheers will ring out again at North Weald, Ongar and all points in between with the return of the Epping Ongar Railway’s annual beer festival.  This year the festival is growing again, with plans in place for 80 cask ales, 25 ciders and 7 craft beers, plus a sprinkle of gin and wine offerings.  As last year, there will be bars at both North Weald and Ongar stations and on the trains.

There will be a vintage bus service connecting the festival to both Epping Station on the TfL Central Line and Shenfield Station on the TfL Elizabeth line and national rail, making it an easy journey from both London and Essex.  Furthermore, this year, we are offering a ‘Sunset Saver’ fare for £12 which will be valid on bus services after 4.30 and on train services after 5pm.  EOR’s normal fares apply during the daytime, although there are concessionary rates for CAMRA members.

The festival will feature music on all three days, with the London Transport choir booked to return on the Sunday, their final concert before taking a well-earned summer break.
