Join the queue?
Getting served in pubs is generally a bit of a lottery but, however, Wetherspoons seem to have cracked it with their successful queueing system which filters out to the next available bar person. While bar staff may be much maligned, and some undoubtedly deserve to be, I must commend the team in the Old Kings Head just off Borough High Street because, however busy it may be and it does get packed at times, I’ve never had a bad experience there in terms of prompt, polite service. Well done to all.
