Shepherd Neame at the Lord Mayor’s Show

On 12 November, to mark the year in which chief executive Jonathan Neame is Master of the Worshipful Company of Brewers, Shepherd Neame made their debut in the Lord Mayor’s Show. Our cover shows their traditional dray, pulled by two shire horses, as it passes St Paul’s Cathedral. Riding in the dray, left to right, are Mr Neame (note the regalia), Mrs Lucie Neame and the Clerk to the Worshipful Company of Brewers, Mr Nick Tindal. Also included in the parade were two classic delivery vehicles, a 1923 Austin 7 van (pictured here) and a 1926 Thornycroft truck, both of which are kept at the brewery. The event raises funds for the Lord Mayor’s Appeal, which contributes substantially to a number of charities. With thanks to Sheps for the photos.
