Ealing Beer Festival

The organising committee and I would like to thank everyone who attended and/or worked at the Ealing Beer Festival this year. The festival is staffed by volunteers, most of whom do not usually work in the hospitality or festival trade. Everyone did a spectacular job and I can’t thank them enough!
Despite British summer tradition, we somehow managed to dodge the rain that bookended our four day festival. There was no need to run for cover or hold your pint down so that it didn’t get blown away in the wind, unlike in 2023!

We were undoubtedly affected by the football with England playing in the semi-final of the European Championships but we had a good start to the Wednesday, followed by a comfortable evening. Thursday was the trade day and it was great to welcome members of the brewing, pub and club trade to the festival. We also played host to the Champion Beer of London competition and we send our congratulations to all who won recognition for their beers. Friday was busy and we certainly saw an ‘after work’ rush as people headed into the festival to start their weekend.

Saturday was a great family day with a very chilled out, relaxed feel to the day and we still had over 70 different beers on sale into the early evening.

We held a wash-up meeting on 28 August at the Forester in Ealing.
