Mr Robinson was life president of Frederic Robinson Ltd, the famous Stockport brewery. Significantly, he was the last of the five generations of the family to work for the company. He joined the business as a trainee brewer in October 1953 and joined the board in 1962. He remained involved with the company until his death, after 71 years of service.
