Book News – The Devil’s in the Draught Lines

The latest release from CAMRA Books is The Devil’s in the Draught Lines. Launched on International Women’s Day, this important book describes the ever present role that women have played – and increasingly continue to play – in the story of beer in Britain. It looks at how some things have evolved over the years, while others have remained the same, as well as debunking some tired old myths. It also includes a number of interviews with women who are working in the industry today. The author is Dr Christina Wade, a historian specialising in the role of women in the brewing trade, who founded the Ladies Craft Beer Society of Ireland in 2013 and is a co-host and resident beer historian on the Beer Ladies Podcast.

The book costs £15.99 and is available on-line from the CAMRA Shop at https://shop1.camra.org.uk/. There is a discount for CAMRA members. Remember to log in as a member.
