This October, CAMRA’s usual Cider and Perry Month will become the first ever Perry Month. CAMRA’s championing of cider and perry at its festivals has been credited with playing a significant role in keeping perry alive and now the Campaign is going further to promote and support this traditional drink. You will be able to find details of perry-related events on CAMRA’s events website https://events.camra.org.uk.
CAMRA Books are hoping to produce a guide to perry, aimed specifically at the consumer, the first of its kind, for publication in 2024. As with Modern British Cider, there will be a Kickstarter funding campaign to support the publication, which will be written by drinks writer Adam Wells, who is also the editor of the Cider Review. You can register your interest in the project at https://camra.org.uk/perry. This will be open to non-members as well.
