Hard times
As a result of your feature on the Lord Southampton in Kentish Town we paid a visit to the pub. Whilst the restoration looks great, the pub is lacking in basic creature comfort. An hour spent sitting on the hard bench seat shown in your article was more than enough for me. On the subject of pub closures, I wonder how many would go to the wall if they didn’t show televised sport, especially Premier League and Champions League football?
