For some years now, alongside pubs, CAMRA has sought to promote clubs. These often sell high quality cask ale, as demonstrated by our National Club of the Year competition and our own regular regional winners, the Leyton Orient Supporters Club and the Orpington Liberal Club. Clubs are however, by definition, private institutions with access restricted to their memberships. Some allow guests; others don’t and, inevitably, this can cause confusion. To help with this, CAMRA has introduced an accreditation scheme. Those clubs which welcome CAMRA members as guests will be given window stickers to display, as shown here. You will also be able to search WhatPub for these clubs using the ‘club allows CAMRA visitors’ filter. Visiting members should remember that entry to guests is usually subject to the club’s rules and that, by entering, you are agreeing to abide by these rules. There may be a limit on the number of times that you can visit as a guest before you are expected to join.
