Billy helped to get CAMRA’s LGBT group off the ground in the 1990’s in London before moving to Brighton. Christine Cryne, who knew him well, recalls recruiting him to the GBBF publicity team when she was organiser and says that he really made a difference. He passed away while on holiday in Spain.
