Lucky Saint comes to London!

Ashort walk from the Albany is newly opened Lucky Saint, which describes itself as ‘A Pub for Our Times in the Heart of Marylebone’.

It is operated by the Lucky Saint brewery, a non-alcoholic beer producer. Formerly the Mason’s Arms, which closed pre Pandemic, they have done a nice job restoring this historic pub. It has a light and airy feel to it, with the evening sun lighting up the bar area and the etched window details, with the ornate fireplace at the back setting the scene for a proper traditional pub.

There is a good selection of alcohol-free beers, including Lucky Saint lager on tap. I wasn’t sure what to expect from a pub owned by an alcohol-free brewery but they had two real ales on at the time of the visit and a helpful staff member said that they hope to have two rotating real ales on the pumps. Five Points Best was on when I visited and it tasted great, being well-balanced and refreshing, and they even had jug glasses! The pub was friendly and is a welcome addition to the London pub scene.

The pub can be found at 58 Devonshire Street close to New Broadcasting House.
