It is the only beer festival in the\ncountry that serves all of its real ale exclusively from wooden casks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The location will be the Winchester Room of the Turks Head, 28 Winchester Road, St Margaret\u2019s TW1 1LF. The pub is a few minutes\u2019 walk from St Margaret\u2019s railway station. The festival runs from Thursday 28 to Saturday 30 May and will be open Thursday 3pm to 10pm, Friday 12pm to 10pm and Saturday 12pm to 8pm. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"722\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/londondrinker.camra.org.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/ezgif-5-722ba8c183.pdf-49-722x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-719\" srcset=\"https:\/\/londondrinker.camra.org.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/ezgif-5-722ba8c183.pdf-49-722x1024.jpg 722w, https:\/\/londondrinker.camra.org.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/ezgif-5-722ba8c183.pdf-49-212x300.jpg 212w, https:\/\/londondrinker.camra.org.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/ezgif-5-722ba8c183.pdf-49-768x1089.jpg 768w, https:\/\/londondrinker.camra.org.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/ezgif-5-722ba8c183.pdf-49.jpg 875w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 722px) 100vw, 722px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>We hope to\nhave up to 60 beers from the wood, including some from London\nand Surrey breweries such as Fullers, Brixton, Mondo, Pilgrim and Wimbledon which are being ordered now. A list will be put\nup on the website. Ticket prices have not yet been decided, so keep an eye on\nour website <em>www.spbw.beer\n<\/em>and social\nmedia; updates will be listed there. For further information contact <em>festival@spbw.beer<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nWoodfest Beer of Britain (WBOB) competition will be held before the festival\nopens and the results announced during the event. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Turks\nHead is owned by Fullers and was built in 1902. It is a genuine street corner\npub offering fine beers and food and its location makes it a popular meeting\nplace for rugby fans on international weekends. The pub is now run by Ollie\nColombeau, who previously successfully managed the Star in Belgravia.\nThere will be a barbecue in the beer garden (with veggie options) as well as\nthe SPBW shop and a tombola. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Beatles film \u2018A Hard Day\u2019s Night\u2019 pictured Ringo playing darts at the bar; this was filmed on 10 March 1964. Most of the film was shot at the nearby Twickenham Film Studios.
