Recent real ales were Purity Pure Gold, Sharp&#8217;s Doom\nBar and Harvey&#8217;s\nSussex Best Bitter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>E2, 640 EAST<\/strong>, Railway Arches, 157-162\nMalcolm Pl. Opened April 2019 in former &#8216;Bubbles Car Wash&#8217;. Rotating craft\nbeers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>E2, ANGEL &amp; CROWN<\/strong>, 170 Roman Rd. Refurbished and reopened by\nDecember 2019, aiming to be a community pub. Regular beer is currently Timothy\nTaylor Landlord.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>E9, MULLER &amp; BRIGGS<\/strong>, 130 Cadogan Terr. Reopened\nas a branch of the <strong>ITALIAN JOB<\/strong> late in 2019 showcasing \u2018the best of\nItalian breweries alongside local London gems\u2019. Keg only.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>E14, 640 EAST<\/strong>, Montgomery Sq (in the\nmiddle), Upper Bank St. First of a small but growing chain of coffee shops and\nbars. It consists of two upcycled shipping containers with seating in between.\nThe coffee is on one side, the bar the other. 5 keg beers plus bottles and\ncans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>E17, EXALE BREWING TAPROOM<\/strong>, Unit 2C, Uplands Business\nPk, 11B Blackhorse Rd. Exale brewing has teamed up with Victory London\nDistillery to expand into a new site and found a permanent taproom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>N1, BREWDOG ANGEL<\/strong> (BrewDog), 29-31 Essex Rd.\nReopened and renamed <strong>ESSEX HOUSE <\/strong>as an independent bar with 15 keg taps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>N14, WISHING WELL <\/strong>(Ei Group), 110-112 Chase\nSide. Reopened after a decade as a restaurant, now a Craft Union managed pub\ncalled the <strong>KINGS GATE<\/strong>. A sports oriented pub with numerous TV screens,\npool table and darts board. No real ale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>N16, HAUNT<\/strong> (Counterculture Bars), 182 Stoke Newington Rd.\nReopened and renamed <strong>POSTER<\/strong>, \u2018bringing a carefully selected curation of\nfood, drinks and art, creating a new kind of bar experience\u2019. Moved to new\nlocation from 460 Hackney Rd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>N17, OLIVE BRANCH<\/strong>, 167-169 Park La. Reported closed but\nactually open when Tottenham are playing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>NW3, BELROSE<\/strong>, 94 Haverstock Hill.\nReopened and renamed <strong>HAVERSTOCK TAVERN<\/strong> by new owners who also run Leeds\nBrewery. Fuller&#8217;s London Pride, Leeds Yorkshire Gold and a beer from Siren were\nspotted shortly after reopening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SE9, ELTHAM WARREN GOLF CLUB<\/strong>, Bexley Rd. Two changing\nreal ales from Bexley and Greene King.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SE10, BEER &amp; BURGER STORE<\/strong>, O2, Entertainment Ave. A summer 2019 addition\nto the beer scene at the O2 with 20 keg taps in a venue also selling wines and\nspirits. The beer range (no cask ales) is regularly updated via Untappd. May\nclose later during O2 events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SE10, GUILDFORD ARMS<\/strong>, 55 Guildford Gro.\nReopened. Frequent tap takeovers and interesting guest ales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SE10, GREENWICH TOWN\nSOCIAL CLUB<\/strong>,\n10 Blackwall La.\nA new social club opened in May replacing the original on this site. Keg beer\nrange predominantly from Shepherd Neame.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SE10, HARVESTER<\/strong> (M&amp;B\/Harvester), O2,\nEntertainment Ave. Primarily a restaurant but one can visit for drinks only.\nBottled and keg beers but no cask ales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SE17, TAP IN<\/strong> (Six Yard Box), 2 Sayer St.\nFootball bar and bottleshop in Elephant &amp; Castle. Events, giant screens,\nover 300 beers incl 20 on draught.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SW1, DUKE OF YORK<\/strong> (Samuel Smith), 130-134\n  Victoria St. Replaced the previous pub of the same\nname on this site. Now with trademark dark wood and etched glass. Two handpumps\noffer OBB and occasionally another ale, plus the usual range of SS keg beers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SW1, PAVLOVA&#8217;S<\/strong> (The Social Company), 126 Victoria St.\nAn extension of the Victoria Palace Theatre, open all day to the public. A\ncocktail and gin bar with keg draught beer available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SW6, MADDISONS<\/strong> (Ei Group), 474-476 Fulham Rd.\nReverted to <strong>BROADWAY BAR &amp; GRILL<\/strong> on reopening in November following\nseveral months\u2019 closure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>WC1, 101<\/strong>, 101 New Oxford St. Following redevelopment reopened\nin 2019 as <strong>ARCADE<\/strong> with seven open kitchens and three bars. Three keg\nbeers and a limited selection of bottled beers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>WC2, GREAT QUEEN STREET<\/strong>), 32 Great Queen St. Reopened in October\n2019 over two floors as <strong>LOCKES<\/strong> after owner and \u2018Be at One\u2019 co-founder\nSteve Locke, this establishment opened. Six keg beers from Guinness, Whitewater\nand Gypsy Hill Beatnik all at \u00a36 a pint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>W1, GEORGE &amp; DRAGON<\/strong>, 151 Cleveland St.\nReopened by operator Ad-hoc Pubco. Four handpumps offer three real ales and a\ncider, besides a range of keg beers. A screen displays the beer and price list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>W1, KRAFT BEER @ MERCATO\nMETROPOLITANO<\/strong> (Mercato Metropolitano ), 13A North\n  Audley St. A ground-floor beer bar in the\nspectacularly renovated and re-purposed Grade I listed St. Mark&#8217;s church in Mayfair. A Kraft micro-brewery\nwill open in January 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>W1, MARKET HALL WEST END<\/strong>, 9 Holles St.\nFour bars, craft beers but no real ale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>W6, RIVERSIDE\nSTUDIOS<\/strong>, 101 Queen Caroline St.\nReplaced the old Riverside Studios. Beers include a tank beer from Meantime but\nno real ale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>W9, REAL ALE<\/strong> (Real Ale Ltd), 4 Formosa St.\nReal ale is now available via KeyKeg including a house Moncada Formosa Pale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>W11, METROPOLITAN<\/strong> (Max Barney Pub Company), 60 Great Western Rd.\nReopened at the end of November 2019 from the team behind the Good Mixer in Camden. No real ales, only\nkeg beer<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>W12, PRAIRIE FIRE<\/strong>, 88-89 Railway Arches, Wood La.\nNew American barbecue venue with taproom offering 16 keg beers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>OUTER LONDON<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>BARKINGSIDE, CHEQUERS<\/strong> (Star), 2 High St.\nReopened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>BRENTFORD, BREWERY TAP<\/strong> (Fuller&#8217;s), 47 Catherine Wheel Rd.\nReopened in December&nbsp; after a sympathetic\nrefurbishment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>CARSHALTON, CRYER ARTS CENTRE<\/strong>, 39 High St.\nFormerly the Charles Cryer Theatre, the Cryer Arts Centre (\u2018Charlie&#8217;s Bar\u2019) is\nnow open. Harvey&#8217;s Sussex Bitter plus two other changing cask ales on handpump\nare supplemented by a bottled and LeyKeg range. The bar is usually closed on\nMondays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>CARSHALTON, PALMERSTON<\/strong> (Ei Group), 31 Mill La.\nReopened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>CROYDON, BULLS HEAD<\/strong>, 39 Laud St.\nReal ale reintroduced: Sharp\u2019s Atlantic Pale or Doom Bar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>CROYDON, GOAT<\/strong> (Star), 1-3 Broom Rd.\nReopened and renamed <strong>APPLE TREE<\/strong> by Whelan Inns in November 2019 after 2\u00bd\nyears\u2019 closure. Regular beers Fuller&#8217;s London Pride and Sharp&#8217;s Doom Bar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>FARNBOROUGH, CHANGE OF HORSES<\/strong> (Ei Group), 87 High St.\nClosed for most of 2019 but reopened under new management in December. Harvey&#8217;s Sussex Best\nBitter, Sharp&#8217;s Doom Bar and Tonbridge Traditional Ale always available with\noccasional seasonal ales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>FELTHAM, AIRMAN<\/strong> (Ei Group), 1 Hanworth Rd.\nReopened in November serving Fuller\u2019s London Pride.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>GIDEA PARK, CHURCHILL HOUSE SOCIAL\nCLUB<\/strong>, 67 Main Rd.\nRegularly sells Greene King IPA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>HORNCHURCH, HOP INN MICROPUB<\/strong>, 122 North St.\nHavering and East London&#8217;s third micropub, converted from a skin clinic during\nautumn 2019 and opened on 21 December. Up to five cask ales are served direct\nfrom the cooled cabinets behind the bar, together with two KeyKeg beers, plus real\nciders and perry. Comfortable seating at high and low tables.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>HOUNSLOW, BEAVER<\/strong>, 51 Salisbury Rd.\nPartially reopened as <strong>HERITAGE KITCHEN &amp; BAR <\/strong>after a decade of\nclosure. The remainder was converted by freeholder Strawberry Express to a\nconvenience store many years ago. Standard keg range available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>RICHMOND, WATERMANS ARMS<\/strong> (Young&#8217;s\/Ram), 10-12 Water\nLa. Reopened and renamed <strong>WATERMANS<\/strong> by operator Water Angel Ltd. Young\u2019s\nBitter and St Austell Tribute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>RUISLIP, CROCK OF GOLD<\/strong>, 153 High St. Renamed <strong>SMUGGLER&#8217;S\nCOVE<\/strong> and Greene King IPA reinstated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SUTTON, TIEMPO LOUNGE<\/strong> (Loungers), 73 High St.\nOpened in November 2019, Tiempo is one of a family of Lounges across the\ncountry. No real ale but otherwise a wide range of drinks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>UXBRIDGE, LOAD OF HAY<\/strong> (Wellington), 33 Villier St.\nRefurbished then reopened in November following a period of closure. Young\u2019s\nBitter and a guest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>WELLING, BOLTHOLE<\/strong>, 12 Falconwood Pde. A\nmicropub in a shop parade, in the largely unpubbed Falconwood Green area,\nopened in November. Seating is at high tables, wall mounted benches and high\nstools. Real ales are dispensed by 2 handpumps with several more on gravity\ndispense from a chilled cellar room. Keg beers and a keg cider, wines and some\nspirits are also on sale. Card payments are accepted.
