Teams of thirsty volunteers from each branch are comparing the 12 competing local winners to determine this year\u2019s regional award.&nbsp; Announced in late July, the Greater London winner then enters a \u2018super-regional\u2019 round from which four finalists are judged for the overall national award, won for 2025 by the Tamworth Tap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Would you please contact your local CAMRA branch if you would like to help us to judge the 2026 winner.\u00a0 All of the pubs in this year\u2019s competition are independently operated and free of tie; promotion and knowledge of real ale; cleanliness and staff hygiene; community focus; service and welcome; style, d\u00e9cor and atmosphere; sympathy with CAMRA\u2019s aims; and overall impression and value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can find the judging guidelines on the <a href=\"https:\/\/london.camra.org.uk\/viewnode.php?id=1247\">regional website<\/a><em>.\u00a0 <\/em>Judges\u2019 visits must be discreet and unannounced.\u00a0 Their marks are necessarily kept confidential throughout the competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One point to note for this year is that two of the pubs, the Hand &amp;
