{"id":6175,"date":"2026-03-25T11:10:09","date_gmt":"2026-03-25T11:10:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/londondrinker.camra.org.uk\/wordpress\/?p=6175"},"modified":"2026-03-25T11:23:54","modified_gmt":"2026-03-25T11:23:54","slug":"london-pubs-group","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/londondrinker.camra.org.uk\/wordpress\/index.php\/2026\/03\/25\/london-pubs-group\/","title":{"rendered":"London Pubs Group"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>CAMRA\u2019s London Pubs Group was established in the early 1990s to promote the preservation of the city\u2019s historic and architecturally important pubs. &nbsp;The group also contributes to CAMRA\u2019s <em>National Inventory of Historic Pub Interiors<\/em>, as described in our February\/March edition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meetings are held regularly, six times a year, and are open to any CAMRA member who wishes to attend. \u00a0We are currently holding our meetings at the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/camra.org.uk\/pubs\/trinity-london-158362\">Trinity<\/a><\/strong>, 202-206 Borough High Street, which is almost next door to Borough underground station.\u00a0 Details are listed in the Branch Diary section at the front of the magazine and <a href=\"https:\/\/londonpubsgroup.camra.org.uk\/\">online<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The group also organises pub tours around all parts of London and sometimes beyond.&nbsp; These are also held about six times a year and are open to all, whether you are a CAMRA member or not. &nbsp;&nbsp;Some are in the evening, usually on a Wednesday, and others are all day events on a Saturday.&nbsp; The tours usually concentrate on historic pubs but occasionally we visit new or refurbished pubs in order to assess the quality of the design.&nbsp; Not all pubs visited will be selling cask beer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our programme of events for the rest of this year is<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Wednesday 15 April &#8211; Smithfield<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Saturday 16 May \u2013 \u2018out of town\u2019 trip to Reading<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Saturday 20 June &#8211; Midsummer Merton<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wednesday 19 August &#8211; Along the Mildmay Line<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Saturday 17 October &#8211;
