He was an accountant and became the Campaign\u2019s first auditor, in which capacity he made a significant contribution to the Campaign by improving its accounting systems, thus making it financially efficient and keeping it solvent. Neil was also one of the founders of the CAMRA Member\u2019s Investment Club. Born in Cheadle Hulme, he was a Manchester City season ticket holder and a great cricket fan. He was also the very best of company.
