Richard Reeve, the owner, explained, “We have named our new beer Summer of Dragon because 2024 is the Chinese year of the dragon, I was born in the year of the dragon and hopefully this will be a great year for the Little Green Dragon! We set out to create a modern session beer for summer quaffing and I’m happy that’s what we have achieved. I can’t thank Beerblefish enough, especially head brewer Michaela; we described to them the type of beer that we wanted to brew and the recipe that Beerblefish came up with has really hit the spot!” Richard, along with staff members Gulliver and Janet, joined in on the day the beer was brewed and did their share of the hard work!.

Richard gets stuck in!

The new beer was launched on 13 April at a micro beer festival which the pub organised with its close neighbour, the Vicars Moor Tennis Club. Richard said, “It was a great day and we even managed to sell out of our collaboration beer, although more supplies are now on the way.” Summer of Dragon will initially be available exclusively at the Little Green Dragon and at the Beerblefish Taproom in Walthamstow. If supplies run out in the meantime, Beerblefish will brew another batch to keep it available throughout the summer.

Since it opened in 2017 the Little Green Dragon has won the branch Pub of the Year award six times and it was CAMRA’s Greater London Regional Pub of the Year in 2018.
