These are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Pub of the Year: <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/whatpub.com\/pubs\/BRO\/15141\/cockpit-chislehurst\">Cockpit, Chislehurst<\/a><\/strong> <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Club of the Year: <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/whatpub.com\/pubs\/BRO\/13760\/orpington-liberal-club-orpington\">Orpington Liberal Club<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>There were joint runners up in the Pub of the Year competition: the <a href=\"https:\/\/whatpub.com\/pubs\/BRO\/12483\/star-garter-bromley\"><strong>Star &amp; Garter<\/strong><\/a>, Bromley and the <a href=\"https:\/\/whatpub.com\/pubs\/BRO\/15138\/three-hounds-beer-company-beckenham\"><strong>Three Hounds Beer Cafe<\/strong><\/a>, Beckenham. The judges were so impressed with the overall quality of the pubs that were shortlisted that they decided to give \u2018Highly Commended\u2019 awards to the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/whatpub.com\/pubs\/BRO\/12478\/partridge-bromley\">Partridge<\/a><\/strong>, Bromley, the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/whatpub.com\/pubs\/BRO\/12559\/queens-head-downe\">Queen&#8217;s Head<\/a><\/strong>, Downe and the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/whatpub.com\/pubs\/BRO\/15143\/real-ale-way-west-wickham\">Real Ale Way<\/a><\/strong>, West Wickham.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>East London &amp; City<\/strong><br>CAMRA\u2019s East London &amp; City branch have also announced their pub and club awards for 2024. The winners, voted for by branch members, are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Pub of the Year: the <a href=\"https:\/\/whatpub.com\/pubs\/ELC\/13951\/north-star-leytonstone\"><strong>North Star<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cider Pub of the Year: the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/whatpub.com\/pubs\/ELC\/14525\/cock-tavern-hackney\">Cock Tavern<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Club of the Year: <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/whatpub.com\/pubs\/ELC\/13930\/leyton-orient-supporters-club-leyton\">Leyton Orient Supporters Club<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>All now go forward to the respective regional competitions. Presentations will be arranged in due course and will be reported here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Enfield &amp; Barnet<\/strong><br>The branch\u2019s Pub of the Year for 2024 is the <a href=\"https:\/\/whatpub.com\/pubs\/ENF\/7567\/little-green-dragon-winchmore-hill\"><strong>Little Green Dragon<\/strong><\/a> Ale House in Winchmore Hill.<br>The runner up is the <a href=\"https:\/\/whatpub.com\/pubs\/ENF\/7345\/elephant-inn-north-finchley\"><strong>Elephant Inn<\/strong><\/a> in North Finchley.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>North London<\/strong><br>The branch Cider Pub of the Year award for 2024 has gone to the <a href=\"https:\/\/whatpub.com\/pubs\/NLD\/5551\/king-charles-i-london\"><strong>King Charles I<\/strong><\/a> in Kings Cross.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"750\" height=\"791\" src=\"https:\/\/londondrinker.camra.org.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/image-43.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4377\" srcset=\"https:\/\/londondrinker.camra.org.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/image-43.png 750w, https:\/\/londondrinker.camra.org.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/image-43-284x300.png 284w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><br>The presentation was made at the branch\u2019s lunchtime social on 17 January. Branch chairman Colin Coyne (right) did the honours. The pub rates two stars on CAMRA\u2019s register of pub interiors of historic interest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Richmond &amp; Hounslow<\/strong><br>Richmond &amp; Hounslow branch\u2019s Pub of the Year for 2023 was announced at the Twickenham Beer Festival in November. It was, for the fifth time in the last eight years, the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/whatpub.com\/pubs\/HOU\/6828\/masons-arms-teddington\">Masons Arms<\/a><\/strong> in Teddington. The photo shows happy branch members surrounding landlady Rae Williams.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"799\" height=\"600\" src=\"https:\/\/londondrinker.camra.org.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/image-44.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4378\" srcset=\"https:\/\/londondrinker.camra.org.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/image-44.png 799w, https:\/\/londondrinker.camra.org.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/image-44-300x225.png 300w, https:\/\/londondrinker.camra.org.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/image-44-768x577.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 799px) 100vw, 799px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><br>The certificate was presented by branch chairman Bob Gordon (standing behind Rae) on 4 March. Judging is carried out confidentially by members visiting all of the branch\u2019s eligible pubs and scoring them against challenging criteria, including beer quality, value, community involvement, welcome and support for CAMRA aims. The Masons Arms richly deserves this award and is well worth a visit.<br>John Austin (and photo)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>West London<\/strong><br>West London branch have announced the winner of their Pub of the Year competition. Based on votes cast by branch members, the winner is the Grade II-listed <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/whatpub.com\/pubs\/WLD\/15917\/victoria-paddington\">Victoria<\/a> <\/strong>(Fuller\u2019s) in Paddington. The runner up, by just one point, was the <a href=\"https:\/\/whatpub.com\/pubs\/WLD\/15914\/star-tavern-london\"><strong>Star Tavern<\/strong><\/a> (Fuller&#8217;s) in Belgravia with the <a href=\"https:\/\/whatpub.com\/pubs\/WLD\/15913\/antelope-london\"><strong>Antelope<\/strong><\/a> (Fuller&#8217;s), also in Belgravia, coming in third.
