The latest release from CAMRA Books is Beer Festivals, the first ever history of British beer festivals. The author is Laura Hadland, who wrote CAMRA’s 50th Anniversary history. The new book explores the origins, traditions and the behind the scenes goings-on of these events and tells the stories of the people that make them happen.

The book was released on 8 May and can be bought on-line from CAMRA. A discount is available to CAMRA members.
Not a CAMRA book but I expect it to be of interest to many readers. David Bruce OBE, the legendary founder of the Firkin pubs chain and co-founder of the Capital Pub Company and the City Pub Company, has written his autobiography. It is titled the Firkin Saga and, in his words, looks back on almost sixty years of ‘beer, business and bold decisions’. It was due to be published on 3 July and is available to be delivered or collected at your local bookstore via hive.
