CAMRA is phasing out its WhatPub? pub website as a separate system and is integrating it with its main website. It remains available for all to use, not just CAMRA members; just go here. It continues to feature over 31,000 pubs that currently serve real ale plus records of pubs that do not sell real ale or are closed.
All of the information used has been compiled by CAMRA members and no fee is charged – or sought – for inclusion. You will find opening times, descriptions, facilities, maps and, of course, details of the real ale and cider on offer. You can search by specific pub name or general location.
This update is based on news items collated by CAMRA’s branches in Greater London. We aim to report all openings and closures of pubs and clubs, those that add or remove real ale; and changes of name, ownership or beer policy. Readers are encouraged to ‘suggest an edit’ using the website when they find incomplete or out-of-date information (but not customer reviews please). Members can also ‘spot a beer’, allowing others to see what beers are currently available.

EC1, LONG LANE, 50-52 Long La. Reopened as ALFONSINA in January, a Latin American restaurant with craft beer.
EC2, BREAD STREET BAR & KITCHEN, Level 59, 22 Bishopsgate. Part of the Gordon Ramsay chain with a restaurant and cocktail bar above and a roof terrace.
EC2, PITCH CITY, 62 Bishopsgate. Golf themed bar over three floors with keg beer. Golf bays can be booked on the upper floors. The clubhouse is open to all but there is a restricted area for members only.
EC2, PLATFORM SHOREDITCH, 2b Worship St. Reopened.
EC3, 1 LOMBARDS STREET BAR & RESTAURANT, 1 Lombard St. Modern bar and restaurant in a converted banking hall. Keg and bottled bar.
EC3, ALCHEMIST MONUMENT, 16-18 Eastcheap. Cocktail bar and restaurant in a modern redevelopment. Keg and bottled beer.
EC3, FEENEY’S LLOYDS AVENUE, Third in a chain of Irish pubs. Feeney’s get three beers brewed for them by Franciscan Well in Cork: Lager, Pale Ale and IPA.
EC3, FENCHURCH, 72 Fenchurch St. Traditional pub opened in refurbished former Lloyds Bank building. Three real ales such as Doom Bar, Landlord and Whitstable Bay Pale Ale, plus 14 keg lines.
EC4, LEAF & CANE, 19 New Bridge St. Modern Latin inspired cocktail bar with a terrace. Keg beer.
WC1, EASTON (Stonegate), 22 Easton St. Reopened under former name, QUEEN’S HEAD, part of the PubLove managed partnership. Real ale available.
WC1, YORKSHIRE GREY Stonegate/First Restaurant Group), 2 Theobalds Rd. Real ale reinstated: Wadworth 6X.
WC2, WAREHOUSE BAR, Earlham St. Located in the Seven Dials Market in a former Banana warehouse! Craft beer from Gipsy Hill.
E1, KNAVE OF CLUBS, 25 Bethnal Green Rd. Reopened after a long period of closure and a refurbishment. Much of this Grade II-listed pub’s interior remains, including bar fittings from the late 1800s, three large Victorian glass advertisements on the wall, and some wall tiling. Three handpumps with cask ale from Allsopp’s. Restaurant above. Was DIRTY BONES for a while.
E10, SPARK HOUSE (ex Laines), 557-559 Lea Bridge Rd. Reopened by Remarkable Pubs in February as EUROPEAN following refurbishment. Traditional style pub with the bar on an elevated level, garden to the rear and a rooftop terrace. Open plan kitchen. Cask beers on reopening were Adnams Ghost Shop, Five Points Best Bitter and Timothy Taylor Landlord. Was DRUM.
E11, ARCH DELI & BAR, Arch 211, Grove Green Rd. Bar and delicatessen in a railway arch near the Heathcote & Star, with four KeyKeg taps serving a range of craft beer and cider. One cider is also served from a bag-in-box. Wine, beer and cider also available in bottles and cans.
E14, PITCH WHARF, 30 Churchill Pl. Opened in March. Large flagship venue for the golf chain. Two bars and a restaurant as well as multiple games you can book. Members area.
E15, BAR ONE, 7-9 Leytonstone Rd. Reopened as CHEERS BAR & LOUNGE in February 2025.
E17, TRUE CRAFT, 18-20 St James St. 10 mostly London keg beers.
N9, LAMB (Stonegate/Craft Union), 52-54 Church St. Real ale reinstated: Fuller’s London Pride.
N13, OCCASIONAL HALF (Redcat), 67-77 Green Lanes. Real ale reinstated: Fuller’s London Pride.
N19, FIXER UPPER (Stonegate), 139 Marlborough Rd. Reopened as GREAT INDIAN in January, a Desi Pub.
NW1, PRINCE ALBERT (Laine), 163 Royal College St. Real Ale reinstated – Gun Scaramanga Extra Pale was available.
NW3, CORK & BOTTLE (Heineken), 154 Fleet Rd. Finally reopened in January under original name WHITE HORSE.
SE1, HAND & MARIGOLD (Wellington), 244 Bermondsey St. Reopened as a free house in March 2025, attractively refurbished from an empty shell by the publican running the Trafalgar in Merton. Four unusual, changing real ales and a large selection of rare keg beers.
SE8, LITTLE NAN’S 2.0, Arches 23-24, Resolution Way. The much larger sister venue of the nearby Little Nan’s. Opened in April 2024 within two large railway arches, this bar continues the bright, eclectic Eastenders/Pat Butcher theme for which Little Nan’s is known.
SE9, BEEHIVE (Greene King/Gladewood Taverns), 365 Footscray Rd. Real ale reinstated: Greene King Abbot.
SE9, NEST SE9, Unit 3, Station Arch. Cafe and bar close to New Eltham station. Website says they sell bottled real ale.
SW1, PRINCE ARTHUR, 11 Pimlico Rd. After various incarnations, this is now a gastropub with an Anglo-Spanish menu. Jeremy Clarkson’s Hawkstone beer range is available. No cask ale.
SW10, FINBOROUGH ARMS, 118 Finborough Rd. After more than four years closed and following a complete refurbishment, reopened as YOGI’S, a bar/restaurant reported to be offering draught beer, an extensive cocktail list and high-quality Indian and pan-Asian food.
SW11, CLAPTON CRAFT SW11, 31 St John’s Hill. One of a chain of eight across London; five including this one also offer up to six draught beer taps and indoor seating. Opened in 2021.
SW17, GORRINGE PARK, 29 London Rd. Reopened in March after six months’ closure as ROOHIN LOUNGE, a Desi Pub with nine keg lines.
W1, SHIP, 134 New Cavendish St. Real ale reinstated, a changing beer such as from Hawkstone.
W2, MARKET HALL, 1 Paddington Sq. The latest Market Halls outlet, in the new Paddington Square development just east of the main station entrance from Praed Street, has an outdoor terrace, eight street-food traders and two bars.
W4, BETTY, 11 Barley Mow Passage. Reopened as LIL NASHVILLE, a country bar and restaurant.
OUTER LONDON
BEXLEYHEATH, FRANKIE & BENNY’S (Restaurant Group), 28-30 Bdy. Reopened as COBAN’S KITCHEN, a Turkish restaurant with meze bar.
BIGGIN HILL, BLUNDELL’S, Jail La. Fitness and sports club open to all (although regulars should join). A single cask ale, recently Long Man Best Bitter.
BROMLEY COMMON, TWO DOVES (Punch), 37 Oakley Rd. Reopened under new management since early 2025.
BROMLEY, BICKLEY & WIDMORE WORKING MENS CLUB, 2A Canons Rd. A traditional, family-friendly members only club with pool, darts, weekly bingo and other events. Single changing cask ale available. New building dates from 2018.
CONEY HALL, CRAFTY BARBERS TAP ROOM & BAR, 6 Kingsway. Opened in November 2024 within the existing barbers’ premises. The single small bar at the rear serves a room where the wash basins are covered up and the barbers’ chairs removed at close of business and replaced with wooden tables and chairs. Wooden flooring and dim lighting complete the cosy atmosphere. No cask ale but keg offerings from Westerham plus cider from Turners.
ERITH, ROYAL OAK (Town Centre Inns), 270 Bexley Rd. Real ale reinstated thanks to Mighty Oak who have assisted in reconnecting unused pumps. Two guest ales such as Brains Rev James Original; Timothy Taylor Landlord and changing beer from Mighty Oak.
UXBRIDGE, FIG TREE (Greene King), 49 Windsor St. Real ale now reinstated: Greene King IPA.
UXBRIDGE, UXBRIDGE & DISTRICT CONSERVATIVE CLUB, Real ale reinstated: Rebellion IPA and a monthly guest also from Rebellion.
